Lately i've been really wanting to buy some personally made item of Liaka - a doll or something soft that i can easily take with me throughout life that won't be broken. Now that I have a pretty set design with her that only changes mildly, i really want to start looking around for artists and save up for something.

First of all, almost all the artists i find are almost always closed. So i'd almost prefer artists who are sort of under the radar and don't take these commissions actively so they don't get filled up before I can actually get a quote- Price isn't much of a bother to me- I know this kind of stuff takes a lot of time and effort, otherwise I would be trying to make one myself haha.

Making one myself could be an option but....I honestly don't have the confidence for it to come out right so i never order the supplies. I used to have a sewing machine but had to ditch it during the move, so if i did make one, i'd have to do it entirely by hand - c - which i suppose would be ok? i have no idea if plushie artists even actively use sewing machines during the process.

What im looking for in particular is someone who could possibly make a cute lil backpack Liaka because holy hell hd01 has one of his toucan character and i loved it and thought, hey instead of me ever making a suit, i could just wear a lil mascot of her on my back to cons because i'm cheap and would never have the patience or money to ever make my own fursuit (plus i don't feel comfortable spending large sums of money on something i'd barely use)

I could even draw up the design for the artist, as i'm pretty confident i could come up with a look and then have them render it due to my complete lack of skill with cloth and sewing. ultimately, if i can't find a suitable artist to do it, i'll try and make one myself maybe? but i'd need help with that, advice on where to buy soft realistic white fur (not real fur!! i don't support the skinning of animals unless it is from an already deceased carcass) and various other things like fur dies (for the strips and red chest area) she wouldn't have eyes since i'd likely just design them closed-

So i'm looking for suggestions!

- Notable artists of cloth and plushies (one that could be open to doing a medium sized backpack plushie)
- If you're an artist of this trade, where you get your supplies? very soft white fur, medium grey something to "die" her strips onto it, templates for backpack like dolls, zipper, insides? (possibly something paisley patterned, floral) Or just any advice you could give for going about making something like this since i never have before! Is hand sewing acceptable? Or is a machine preferable for this work?

Going through your gallery really made me wonder what would your work look like in really bright saturated colours. I realise that this is probably not what you want and I'm not saying that you should but you know, I was curious. Anyway, keep up the good work! :)

I usually consciously stay away from bright saturated stuff but I do have some old work where I have used over saturated stuff- I do want to try it out again sometime

Do it, I'd love to see it! For the record, if you did a lot of bright stuff I'd probably wonder about how your work would look desaturated - my head just works like that. :P
