Ripper (rye-purr) and Nina (nee-nah)


There's no earthly way of knowing,
Which direction we are going,
There's no knowing where we're rowing,
Or which way the river's flowing,
Is it raining? Is it snowing? Is a hurricane a-blowing?

Not a speck of light is showing so the danger must be growing,
Are the fires of hell A-glowing? Is the grisly reaper mowing?
YES! The danger must be growing, for the rowers keep on rowing,
And they're certainly not showing, any signs that they are slowing


I like to be lazy and steal titles and lyrics ~

It's been a while since i've put something up of Ripper, odd since i draw him the most out of all the thrish. This has been sitting around in my computer for a while, along with several other unfinished pieces of good ol Doc Keller doing doc Keller...things. Ho tho, from now on, to clear up any confusion, i will think i can refer to Ripper's good or weak personality simply as "Ripper" while the Stronger more sadistic one i can just call "Keller" and for those who have no idea what im talking about...see the APD wiki page and read it all or else you won't really get it haha [link]

So whats going on here? Well i'm not sure, though i'm pretty certain the Lab has just experienced one of its infamous blackouts (being in mega blizzard forest land and all) and Ripper was, i don't know, in the middle of Nina abusing him in some sadomasochistic manor when the lights went out and he falls down some stairs - only, not really.

The background is completely lazy and happened at the end of the piece. Contrary to popular belief, i don't like just submitting pieces with white backgrounds - these are usually the result of me attempting to draw a background, saying fuck it after I've gotten no where despite a few hours and reluctantly leaving it white. This is likely why i don't post most of what i finish. Oddly enough though, i have many backgrounded pieces that i don't submit for other reasons. Yea i'm confusing.

Can i ever draw Ripper not bleeding?

But look at that, he's wearing clothes. And this time clothes that are mostly accurate to what he would be wearing at the lab. These are mumvet advocates, those of which he wears rather then mediatone advocates (despite doing more media work when at the lab). He was brought to the lab in ordinary mumvet jacket, after covering up his Legionaire advocates so he would't stick out as a target during the attack. (it failed obviously, since they took him anyway, under the impression they were simply bagging another medivac) I am rather sad that i can never show his Tags :c they are all that is left that he holds on to of his time at Volker and as a legionaire, having never removed his Legionaire, Mumvet Class A or Medivac certified tags. Medivac tags are silver or Red (his are silver, since he's certified in many fields of study) Mumvet's are pink and Legionaire is white.

So Patch on the shoulder is the Maritime mumvet emblem, whilst Maritime Peace law is represented as the fen and the double red stars that are always in view from Maritime. Nina is wearing Leslie's feather earrings he gave her (made from his own feathers). How cute ~

I need to explain in more detail on his page about Nina and him (the one in this picture is Keller btw) Since i don't feel i actually have it explained very well or even fully.

So a few updates have been made to his page anyway, below are jump links that will take you right to the info new, which is in pink btw.

Can you believe there's still more i need to put on that page? Gosh Ripper you sure are interesting aren't you.

Wow i need to submit this, the submission page has been sitting open for like 2 days with all the info filled out lol.

that Nina hand in the background, took me like, 5 minutes. thats why it sucks, obviously.

Ahh i love this sooo much. Nina is such a bitch bag i swear to go look at her, abusing poor Ripper and he's just all, yeaaaa gonna take it like a bitch. His mumvet jacket! ♥♥♥

Nffmghm.

There's almost too much intriguing depth in just about every piece of art you create. I envy your ability to develop the shit out of every last aspect I can find. This only complements your visuals.

I love the haircuts and the microscopic teeth, but the wardrobe here is an aphrodisiac.

I love Ripper soo much! The story that comes with it is so clearly seen from the drawing itself - I really like that you can do that with your art.
